Module 5 Update , Raising Funding

Because I am working on my initative while doing the change makers lab ,I am happy to have the lessons as a guide to achieving my objective .

This month in particular I am happy especially for Module 5 as I implement a lot of what I am learning here in my fund raising efforts .All of the points and suggestions put forth by all the presenters , from lesson one with kirthi on funding and accountabilty ,to Sherna,s advice on Grant Writing , putting forward an  effective proposal to Nuria  speaking on starting a business or organisation from ground zero, which is where I am  head in to battle .

If Module 5 , lesson 1 to 3 was a person , that would be me , its the epitome of where I am at this very moment ,  

On December 03rd as those who have read my last update would have seen , we present the Fund Raiser and Fashion Event UnMasked .

Those who follow me on social Media would have seen me bombarding the various platforms with flyers , and post, photos and  voice overs , promoting the hell out of this show , its the frist of many planned events aimed at fund raising.

I have had  as suggested in the frsit lesson , to use my own funds ,out of pocket to put things in place to get this show organized ,I am grateful for those who have been an encouragement ,by supporting financially no matter how small , it all adds up 

I would love to awake in the morning to a miracle ,to find that I have the funding to build that eco system ,off sustainable transition housing , training  and production facilities with serenity garden , where women and girls surviving Domestic Violence can have a fresh start, that is my vision , but  I  am content to start , to start small .

As you would have read  in my last update ,one of the main reasons for doing this event was not only to officially launch the brand, and our Social Initative SETUP, but also   to raise funds  to support  efforts  to create a work from home initative , starting with a pilot project for a young mother with a sick child,  a survivor of Domestic Violence , we have been  assisting using our own funds .

  We will provide entrepenural assitance to her by  offering  training in Sewing and Basic Dress Making and providing her with a New Domestic Machine to help her to earn an income by using the acquired skills .

She will also recieve councelling  and self development coaching .

We looking forward to repeating this effort with others as we build on this initative .

.We would also like to make Christmas a bit brighter for her and  a few single mothers by packing Christmas care hampers.

A lot of our single moms are finding it tough to make ends meet ,with rising food prices and some having lost jobs during the pandemic period .

I am truly praying for a succesful event , as the days draw closer , with just under 10 days to go , financially I wish we were in a better place , but so much has  already been organized, I am grateful ,a little nervous , but excited that by my next update I will have an amazing report
