In this Module 5 assignment I choose to concentrate on the following as listed in order. Note: 3 and 4 (on Module 5 document) have been answered already in previous modules, no need to repeat. *Note update: Since publishing this Module, we have travel to four additional communities and high anticipation is awaiting to serve a potential number of 50,000 . I did not see the option to change the number of Impact potential.
1.The approach that works for me is good ole fashioned calling , texting and emailing donating supporters whom has donated to QSV, aiding humanity from the humble beginnings to achieve the goals of raising funds to complete this project Initiative. This is the strategy that has always worked and continue to work.
2. We have applied for grants and was successful in that application and look forward to applying for further support as always expected. We were very successful and learned a lot in the just the application process itself. Grant-makers Need to know what your initial project is and the details of what that projects entails for example a few here as follows; Project title, Population served Geographic region , Goal, NGO information, Funding amount request, Contact information and more applicable when asked of you to submit. Searching for grants takes time, teamwork and I would call skill-work searching for "needles and haystacks"! Millions of nonprofits are actively seeking grants, loans and financial opportunities as you are. I have partnered with organizations for support as mentioned in previous modules to support this humble cause for women and families. The challenge is a learning lesson only to make you more knowledgeable in this occupation.
Continued Part 2.
As many nonprofits struggle to attract and retain talented employees and or volunteers and, it is vital to self-reflect and look at our growth opportunities. It is believe that some nonprofit leaders are not willing to invest in development initiatives in fear of losing employees. People including volunteers come and go, which is expected. At Queen Sheba Village we create an environment that welcomes new ideas promoting learning, growth and development, and thus create an attractive future. Leaders with a low resistance to change and a high level of enthusiasm will not find favorable individuals willing to work no matter what the mission stand for.
3. 3 and 4 ( Challenges, feedback , target audiences, campaigns and strategies) I have already shared in previous modules.
4. Yes, Entrepreneurship is a role model for me as is my beloved mother and grandmother have inspired me since a child. I successfully completed two educational degrees 22 years ago at Strayer University(strayer.edu )in the Capital Washington DC USA and indeed it was a big challenge pursuing higer education while my older children watched my three younger children at that time and today constantly updating my academic education at Grant Space (candid.org). My business marketing strategies (to name a few) is a combination of promotions, marketing, advertising and management and often recruit volunteers whom have these professional skills to manage and maintain the organization pushing forward to the goals we seek to achieve not only for the current project but also for more to follow.
