This is a continued Update Initiative, Building Social Empowerment & Education.

Our Excavation Phase Ground 1 completion May 2022. Our Team launched our Women and Girls Empowerment Project Mid January of this year. We move forward to continue to fundraise and spread awareness to this endeavor that will inspire, educate and mostly benefit many locals in the region.

What does excavation mean in construction? I explored researched this topic several years ago when my neighbors were building in Dakar. Excavation is the process of moving things like earth, rock, or other materials with tools, equipment, or explosives, thank goodness no explosives were used at our site. It includes earthwork, trenching, wall shafts, tunneling, and underground. Excavation has several critical purposes, including exploration, environmental restoration, mining, and construction. There are additionally seven (7) stages which include as explained to me 1. Initial Design 2. Pre-Construction 3. Procurement 4. Construction 5. Commissioning 6. Owner Occupancy &. Project Closeout. As stated earlier, I started research several years ago in Dakar to educate myself about the steps using my neighbors projects and I admire just about anything engineering because it is labor intensive and hard work . Our Team is happy to employ 8 construction workers who rotate full and part time including a security guard. We hope to share another update in future months. Thanks for reading!
