MODULE 2 UPDATE 5 SET UP THE INIATIVE

Even as I give an update on my initative  my heart is pained as our numbers for gender based violence continue to rise while  our country celebrated its jubilee 60th anniversary of Independence , we have come a long way , we have achived so much ,but theres so much still that needs to be done correctly.

This training is really helping me to put into perspective  where I am in terms of my Initiative and where I need to be,  to use it as a yard stick to achieve the vision I have .In completing the Power Flower in Module 2 lesson 1  , I was able to see objectively my strenghts and my weaknesses I definitely have over the years used my Power Within to really get to know who I am and to embrace my flaws as well as my assests, and I can also see a great improvement in the way I respond to difficult situations

Power Too got more petals as I  can recall occassions when I stood up for myself , or signed a petition change the laws for perpetraitors of domestic violence to recieve stiffer penalties

Sometimes its easy to overlook the Power Over social issues that we possess. I intend to use that power positively to create ways to Empower our girls and young women to overcome the pyschological effects of DV, by providing councelling provided by those i would collaborate with and other holistic solutions in our eco system of Support , Empowerment as explained in lesson 2 and  Training towards living purposefilled lives
