Masterclass with students from PACE, Hawaii

I had a superb start to my day yesterday: I had the opportunity to facilitate a masterclass on Social Entrepreneurship for a team of young people looking to make inroads in the world of social enterprises through impactful businesses.

I started by sharing my story of working through my social enterprises, and made it a point to talk through all the mistakes I made and the times I failed. It was such a gentle experience because they listened without judgment, and let me learn from their journeys too.

I got to hear such powerful ideas from them: one of them wanted to set up an initiative that would help people heal from grief, one wanted to build sustainable access to healthcare for indigenous people, and one wanted to build a tech-based mechanism to address climate change, to name a few.

It was particularly touching to note that one student attended the training while driving to pick her child up from school. There were such meaningful questions, too, from the cohort. One asked how best she could build and nurture a team, while another asked how to deal with failure. I'm really excited for them to sign up for the Social Entrepreneurship module and experience the offerings.

Have you signed up for the module yet?

I can't wait for you to give it a shot!
