Sister Safe is an initiative meant to help others stay safe in the face of danger. Created by crime survivor Amanda Furness, the initiative will produce a newsletter of the same name. The idea for Sister Safe came about as a result of Amanda's victimization. She is a multiple-rape, human trafficking, hate crime and domestic violence survivor. No one helped Amanda to stay safe, and because they didn't she realized that a need for initiatives to help others to stay safe were needed. The newsletter Sister Safe will soon be published for the first time online and in print.
