CHANGEMAKER LAB MODULE 3: ELEVATOR PITCH

Hello, my name is Regina. Am a humanitarian worker and sign language interpreter form Bamenda.

I long for a world where girls with hearing impairment can afford their basic needs. I Am passionate for a world where every deaf woman is economically empowered instead of financially dependent. I run an empowerment workshop where I train deaf women, girls and other vulnerable women on varied livelihood skills to improve on their standard of living. I also equipped them with digital skills so they can reach more consumers online while maintain safety.

Growing up with my deaf little sister i discovered that most deaf girls do not have equal livelihood training opportunities due to sign language communication barrier and so I decided to do something about it.

I want deaf girls to know that being deaf does not make them excluded. I want them to know they are loved, valued and have a right to equal livelihood training opportunities. Please help me advocate for the inclusion of deaf women and girls in livelihood trainings in communities.
