The sociopolitical crisis in the North and South West Regions of Cameroon continue to worsen and girls and women with disabilities continue to be the most affected. Most of them have lost their property and businesses which is their only source of livelihood. They continue to be very dependent especially financially. As a result, most of them have experience one form of Gender-based violence or the other. Most of these women also lack basic knowledge on technology and so have limited access to opportunities.
Association for the Empowerment of the Deaf and Vulnerable Persons(AEDVP)is highly committed to equip these women with the skills they need as their source of livelihood at our empowerment center. We will be doing this in collaboration with other grassroot organisations with whom we always collaborate. Most of these organisations are headed by our own World Pulse sisters.
Equip these women and girls with digital skills for the sake of visibility and improved sales and ensuring their online safety.
Source funding to ensure most of these women trained are given start- up capital to set up their businesses.
