Zindagi khobsurat hai…!

Hello world! This is Summaiya Abdul from Karachi, Pakistan and this is my story. I belong to a very religious family where some rules are being made by our ancestors and our elders . I always wanted to paint , though l m not God gifted but l wanted to paint just to take out what was disturbing me inside. I paint because that was the only way to feel good around , to feel happy, to feel peaceful. My journey was very smooth because my parents were not interested in what l was doing actually. My mother is a house wife and my father is a retired major. My father has played a very prominent role in my life and in my siblings life. My sisters have always supported me in doing Bachelors in the field of Arts. Because of the boundaries set by my father, l couldn’t pursue more in my Arts field. I wanted to learn more about Arts , wanted to polish my skills but l couldn’t because of my father. Then l started my career through teaching as it is the most secured and respectable job in Pakistan. So it’s been 6 years since l m working as a Teacher. I teach History and Islamic Studies to O Level Students . I’m satisfied with what l m doing and with what Allah has blessed me with. But what about “Dreams”??? This question always pop up in my mind and l feel so helpless. Besides all of this l m a very good listener and counselor. I counsel a lot of my students towards positivity and goodness. This is why l have joined this platform as well to connect with the people and listen to them and contribute my experiences and my knowledge to them in helping them towards positivity.
