With the help of money (dowry), they were able to find an NRI man for her daughter. The daughter now calls her mother every day, and her mother answers it on speaker.

Other neighbours who are able to hear it simply enjoy it and do nothing to stop the mother-daughter team from continuing with this lunacy.
