Your Aspirations and Dreams are Never Impossible

Your aspirations and dreams are never impossible if you focus on learnings that shapes those experiences that help identify values, inspires and challenges new thinking. The International Leaders Programme (ILP) gave me the opportunity to develop a visionary and social approach to addressing global problems. I had the opportunity to develop skills and to integrate with an international network of people who collaborate and make a positive difference in the world.

We had the opportunity to share on the current political challenges plaguing our countries with the Chatham House. We had a tour of the Houses of Parliament, the National Cyber Security Centre, and dinner at the Tamburlaine Hotel with guest speakers from Cambridge Conservation Initiative. Visited St Edmunds College, Allia Future Business Centre, CAMFED, Arsenal Football Club, the Clink and Westminster Foundation for Democracy.

We also had the opportunity to visit some organizations like Peace Direct and the Gender Action for Peace and Security (GAPS)Ever since I returned in 2019, I am part of a learning community that has helped me discover more of my leadership potentials as a female leader. My overall perception of the UK changed as I attended the International Leaders Programme. The UK is a country, which places great value on freedom of speech and has a strong rule of law and effective institutions.

My UK experience has been relevant to my professional life. I have now a better understanding of some ideologies of Innovation, creativity and diversity. I now understand how the UK is governed, its economy, business and British Values.The International Leaders Programme (ILP) is an international leadership development and networking programme. The programme is organized and delivered by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the Government of the United Kingdom.

I wish to immensely appreciate the UK Embassy and Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) for giving me this wonderful opportunity to be part of this prestigious program.
