YOU WAITED FOR ME A love beyound my expectations

As we celebrate April, Poetry Month 

I want to share this poem I penned last year as reflected on y life and Gods love and his presence in my lifes journey .

Its called , HE WAITED 

          You stood  by my side even when I didn't acknowledge you

Treated like a scorned lover your love was constant and unchanged

In the midst of the noise I would hear your voice calling but I was too busy

I was living life the way it suited me

              Yess I knew who you were I know the scarifice you made, I grew up being grateful

I just didn't want to relinquish my control, because in ignorance I taught it was burdensome,

hard, rules, lots of donts

But I eventually learnt, disobedience is harder

Your love is easy, your care is comforting

Your provision is sure

And your mercy endures

                 You wiped my tears as I came to you at the end of myself

I heard your voice clearly

You were there to fix, what was broken, to replace what was stolen

And to birth what lay dormant

I now know what true love is

              My heart belongs only to you

Life is beautiful because you are there

I'm not afraid to step out because I trust you

I'm grateful you care

I love you my God, you waited for me.
