YOU ARE IN ME, I AM IN YOU

YOU ARE IN ME, I AM IN YOU

You are my life.

You are my identity.

You are my love.

And a way of life.

You are in me.

And I am you.

You are my Kashmir.

You haven’t seen,

The day of light.

As you have been imprisoned.

By colonial minds, fascist rulers.

You are, so am I.

Else I can’t be anything without you.

I won’t survive with an alien name,

With an alien identity, with an iron fist.

How would accept fake identity?

Forcible occupation & absolutism.

How can breathe under Modern Mussolini?

Who dines with Trump, wine with Netanyahu.

How can exist in a country that lynches Muslims?

How can forget I am from Kashmir?

You still are my life, day & my night

You are my dream, same old morning breeze.

O’ Kashmir you are in me and I am in You.

None can separate us, neither Hitler or Slobodan.

No Article can snatch my freedom; no superpower can cow me down.

Listen, my invaders, you can’t win us never and never.
