WULUW Initiative

Women’s Urban Leadership in Utility WASH (WULUW) Initiative as a means of empowering and promoting female leadership in the very male-dominated industry of WASH - by fostering personal growth, increase women’s involvement in decision-making, and integrate gender equality and social inclusion into policies, planning, and budgeting, within WASH utilities and municipalities.

We recently launched digital publication - Urban FLOW Magazine. The purpose of the magazine is to showcase the initiative's commitment to embolden women within the urban water, sanitation and hygiene space. Our intention is to share informative and motivational stories about females cementing themselves in various spheres of WASH, to shed light on knowledge building resources, as well as tips on advancing the careers of future female leaders in WASH.
