Hi WP members. A special message to you today. As some of you know, I have mixed feelings about being proud of my success. Does this sound familiar?
This is especially true for those of you reading who do not get celebrated for your everyday contributions. For those of you feeling this today, I see you. I also know it is important that I model and normalize for other women and non binary folks on here, celebrating wins and sharing success.
On that note, I share with you today, a new exclusive interview with BRAINZ Magazine.
In my interview, we discuss the roots of ALG Consulting, pivotal moments in my journey, being a recovering lawyer and recovering perfectionist, who inspires me including the World Pulse community, and the family dog, Maya (featured in the photo!). We also discuss the urgent need for a human-centred approach to building safer, more respectful workplaces.
Here is a snippet of our conversation:
As workplaces continue to struggle with sexual harassment, violence and discrimination, we know traditional “checking boxes” or “compliance-based” approaches have not worked. I bring a new human and heart-centred, and trauma-informed approach to tackling these issues, informed by my own lived experiences, my background in facilitation as well as having been a human rights lawyer.
