Dear world pulse Sisters and Mothers, 🥗 This World Nutrition Day (28 May), remember: healthy eating isn’t about perfection, it’s about balance, variety and small daily choices.

*Did you know?*

🍎 Adults should aim for at least 400g of fruits & vegetables every day

🧂 Too much salt increases the risk of high blood pressure and heart disease

🥤 Free sugars should make up less than 10% of daily calories

🌾 Whole grains, beans, lentils, fruits and vegetables help keep your body and gut healthy

*Healthy diets can help prevent:*

❤️ Heart disease

🩺 Diabetes

🧠 Stroke

🎗️ Some cancers

*Simple tips for healthier eating:*

✅ Choose fresh or minimally processed foods

✅ Drink more water.

✅ Steam or boil instead of frying

✅ Limit sugary drinks and salty snacks

✅ Add more fruits, vegetables and fibre to meals

💚 Healthy eating starts early in life but it’s never too late to make positive changes.

If we can continue our grassroot initiatives, take care of children and grandchildren, we must prioritize healthy eating/living with what we have.
