Wonder Women

Ninety-three-year-old Mountain Mama, her fellow ninety-three-year-old retired postmistress friend, and the ninety-three-year-old mother of a wonderfully gifted quilt maker/mother/wife were all together on Saturday. I was happy to make this happen. All of them were born before women were allowed to vote in the United States of America. All three were married and brought up children, beginning when they had no electricity or interstate travel. These women are still giving back to their families and their communities, even though they need walking sticks to steady themselves.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could somehow package all the wisdom that was in that room at that one time?
