Women's International Film Festival Nigeria (WIFFEN)

In support of my previous initiative, the social impact film project - Girl Nation - I am leading a new initiative, 'The Women's International Film Festival Nigeria (WIFFEN)' to celebrate women filmmakers around the world. The festival is a premiere film festival targeting female filmmakers around the world and shares select films to be screened during the festival.

WIFFEN will impact people at various levels; an estimated 250 people, particularly women whose films are selected for the festival and those who will screen the films and participate in the festival awards event where the women filmmakers are celebrated for their outstanding work. The film festival plans to host a number of seminars, panel discussions, Masterclasses, and other engaging sessions. The call for film submissions has already launched and over 700 films have come from every continent of the world. With the deadline over a month away, an estimated 2000 films is expected from the festival call for submissions.

WIFFEN is planned to hold from the 4th - 5th March 2022 in Abuja, Nigeria and an estimated 500 people are expected across the various festival activities. While an estimated 500 people-reach is expected for the physical engagements, a whopping 100,000 people-reach is anticipated online. Join me! And let's co-create impact together for women filmmakers around the world. Spread the word about WIFFEN! #WIFFEN #FemFilmForum #GirlNation #GirlsAlsoFilm #SocialImpactFilmmaking #LogOnRiseUp #GirlsVoices #WiffenAwards #WiffenCelebrates
