Women from vulnerable communities impacted through COVID-19 relief work
700 women were supported with food packet sufficient for one month.
Awareness creation through audio message on the mobile vehicle was created as joint operation with Govt machinery in each of the villages. Therefore, more than 20000 population was sensitized with respect the care to be taken against the COVID-19 virus infection.
The support given was mainly to single women, SC/ST, Below poverty line families, migrated labor families who have returned to their homes. The support given was in terms of educating the household for better diet, healthy lifestyle practices, use of local herb for improving immunity system and provide food support for one month to 100 families.
Village COVID-19 control committees in each of the 20 villages was formed by organization to control the spread of Covid-19. Internal discussion and sharing among the women leaders through conference call is being facilitated to monitor the precaution being taken movement of any risky person from other cities etc. Water distribution through in scarcity villages is being supported by the organization in 5 villages.
1200 women will be given food packet sufficient for two month requirements will be distributed in coming days through the support mobilized through other sources. 145 women from suicide affected farmer will be given seeds and fertilizer worth Rs 5000/- during the sowing season to meet the agriculture need of these women farmers. Further 2500 mask are being distributed in the village area among the women and girls.
