“Woman to woman” what a great idea for women’s empowerment

My organization is out to redirect the youths to be controllers of their destinies. I focus mostly on the youths in the remote areas of our country and those who happen to be living in the cities but who are not expose to opportunities and those youths who are most in need especially the abandoned and at-risked young girls, HIV/AIDS infected young women and children and disabled young women. The greatest challenges I face with the above mentioned group of needy is lack of awareness and poverty. The barriers being, lack of finance; resource persons charging very high fee; difficulties accessing sponsors; illiteracy that makes communication difficult; difficulties coming out with a good proposal that can attract funding.

These challenges and barriers could be manage through organizing educative seminars and workshops that can create a change; training in different trades that can create jobs for the needy and disabled young women to alleviate poverty. Frequent health forums to keep the infected persons going and to promote HIV prevention thereby reducing the number of infected youths in the near future. Fund raising could help out with the barrier of lack of finances, looking out for more sponsors could also do the trick. Having volunteer resource persons may solve the problem of high fees.

To be honest, just about a month now, since I joined world pulse my knowledge of going about issues has broadened. Now am beginning to see that I can collaborate with some pulse wire members who can help me raise fund to organize a health seminar that I was envisaging. I am connecting to members already by answering to questions on comments they made on my post and seemingly it will yield some fruits. I will have to use pulse wire members who will help in organizing an event for me. I will publicize my project title on pulse wire for someone to help.

In short let me just “Take Action” Now. Dear pulse wire members, I want to write a proposal for funding. The project I want to write a proposal on is to train some ten girls in hairdressing, duration of training is twelve months, if there is someone to help in writing the proposal, please indicate to me and if you require more details about the project which you need in the process of writing do not hesitate to ask me.

Further, I see pulse wire a space to partner with some member organizations of my interest so that together we can empower the less privilege young women. Sometimes you may want to carry out a project and the ideas are not just coming, I have found pulse wire a place to kick start when an idea emerges.
