Why is there an Economic Crisis in Sri Lanka?

The war against Tamils ended on 2009. For almost 12 years, we didn't hear any gun sounds in the country. Unfortunately, the Ministry of Defence uses 12% to 13% of the budget every year. In 2020, military expenditure of Sri Lanka was 1.574 million USD.

Did you know that approximately, 350,000 military (exluding police) employees have occupied the country. They are nearly 32% of total government employees in Sri lanka. The maximum average monthly salary for an armed personal in Sri Lanka is 154,000 LKR. This includes spendings for meals, clothes, accommodations, vehicle, and energy and other facilities are extra. Think twice! is it justifiable?

Did you know, the military density of US has 4 in 1000 citizens? Obviously, American spread their military all around the world.
