Why do we feel happier at the slower pace of life?

Why do we feel happier at the slower pace of life?
Rushing all the time adds to our stress, and when we don't destress ourselves, we become so displeased that we are unable to see any good in life.
Most of us are a participant in the race of life to have more than others and more than what is needed. We focus so much on building the material aspect of life that we ignore other important aspects: our family, relationships, health and well-being, and connection with self.
Take time and slow down. Turn that phone off, go for a walk, spend time with your family and friends, watch the rain, hear the birds, and spend some quiet time. You will always look up to living your life.
