When Passion is Not Enough

Sometimes in life,you keep yearning for that singular thing you crave for even when you have others and can live without that one crave: missing dot.

As humans, most of us tend to ignore ninety-nine of what we have while looking for the one percent that we feel is missing.

So,it was for me,that I craved a university education with no short course, no matter how expensive and tasking could assuage my hunger for learning. I loved to use high sounding words even when I never knew what they meant.Lol. And like you will righly guess,they were mostly used wrongly.

Having left secondary school more than twenty years,my heart still longed to be in class to learn. 

So ,one day ,my husband was driving me to an event and I used the word : Elixir  inappropriately ( Lol). I had used it as something that meant power booster when indeed it meant a medicinal  portion that can induce love.

My husband had laughed so hard that I became irritated. But then was followed was a form bought by him for entrance examination into the University. I collected the form,and began reading voraciously like a hungry lion would tear at it prey.

My sacrifice paid off as I made it back to the university after more than twenty years of leaving secondary school.

This certificate has paved way to the next level for me.

Who is laughing at you today?

Who thinks you cannot become?

If I can go back to school after more than twenty years,you too can.

But note this: Passion is not enough without action.
