06-26-11 This has been a challenging year for me so far. Our economy here is in poor shape and the company I work for has closed one store and after transferring me (and others) to another store has cut hours. I am presently doing some restructuring of my life to come up with new ways for income and yet be true to myself and my values. One of the problems I keep encountering is my age although they do not mention that. I am close to retirement age in my country and I think that is why I am unable to find another position. It is especially frustrating when you do not feel old and still want to work and be productive. I do have a couple of things in the works and feel confident that they will pan out. I have made the committment to myself that I will not start the new year in this job. It gives me hope and a goal to shoot for. My wish is for the world to see all human beings as having something to contribute no matter whate AGE. JulieR
