WHAT DOES IMPACT MEAN TO ME?

In the bubbly and sunny town of Ezza Local Government Area in Ebonyi state Nigeria, it was seen as a taboo for a woman to be part of the king's cabinet. Women had to play second fiddle and accept all the decisions coming from the "Throne Room" , even unfavourable ones... without having the opportunity to share their opinions.

I started implementing the MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership Project with my colleagues at DOVENET Nigeria in 2021 and through the Multi-sectoral approach involving stakeholders from different sectors including the palace, significant change has been made. These kings now allow women to be part of their cabinet and participate in decision making.

Now, that's impact!

I am writing this during Training Tuesday.
