Need to systematize outreach to following priority list of groups:

• Haitian women's groups


• Women leaders who may not necessarily be part of women's groups


• Government of Haiti


• Men and women in health sector


• Haitian women business leaders

How to/steps (in that order):

  • Strategize extensively about how to approach each group in committee and in wider group.

    
    
    * It's important for us to recognize that groups don't necessarily work together b/c they are women's groups.
    
    * There are subnetworks according to politics/party/ideological affiliation.
    * Reach out to funders of women's groups as an introduction to them
    
    * Subdivide in sectors such as health
    * Political outreach to women's groups in the US will be next priority after outreach to the priority list above.

* Unifem, Kathy Mangones - intv to find out about UNifem's contacts on the ground to see who are the key reps to UN system - early steps towards a women's summit maybe

* We will have a report back from Alice about media - that could be the focus of the call

* Martha will report back on meeting in San Fran
* Outreach and pre-planning for NY meeting

LAMBI FUND UPDATE (Léonie)

* Micro-credit relief effort focuses on women
* in terms of diaspora, Lambi has many regional groupings: NY, DC, Miami
* potential future diaspora federation
* AC thinks maybe they will be key guiders on Potofanm outreach to diaspora

* Lambi newsletter will be ready shortly
