Web 2.0 Empowering Women

I do value the web 2.0 which is the easy way to express people and make network through internet even we are thousand kilo meters from each other. Actually, people in this generation are busy with works, they do not have much time with family or friends but web 2.0 can help them to keep in touch and still share something new from different location. Moreover, web 2.0 brings information to people faster than traditional media which sometimes spend a day for editing and releasing article. I really appreciate the web 2.0 that bring the world become closer and closer. Besides that, it’s cheaper with more effective than buying traditional media like newspaper that cost times comparing to access to internet. It’s also the stored space for information, video and photos uploading in permanently which we can go back to explore those again if we miss or forget. It daily alert us about what happen in the globe and with friends, about people‘s voices, and general knowledge. As we already familiar with the large population of youths in the world, so web 2.0 can attract mostly youths including women who can access to internet to enjoy a lot of benefits. It’s easy and simple way for especially women to engage in this new technology and let their concerns to the world, to international organization, donor, and global news network to highlight the issue more officially.
As we already know about the power of web 2.0 by facebook can adjust the country situation like in Syria. So, through web 2.0, we can gather women from around the world as one to do same mission on eliminating the violation against women in the world. The advantage of web 2.0 will emphasize solidarity of the women networks in any activities like reminding and teaching the women to understand their rights, assigning team works to help other women in topic of woman helps woman in each country, posting any torture on women and powering women to be the leader and decision maker.
These tools will assist me to share my story and women news from my country to the world. I will open the floor to get the comments on my statement as well as share them something really important or experience related to women’s situation bolding on female children in Cambodia. As what I’m concerning nowadays is raping children under 18 years old. It’s happen a lot to women (501 cases based on the report of ADHOC 2010). For the victim age under 5 years old, it was 33 cases and can be more than this if the authorities did not try to hide the information. So with all things occurred in here, I will strongly expose this problem to world and will try to get more solutions from the global audiences from different common values. I hope that one day the cases I have raised will catch the global news writer or global decision makers’ attention and give a proper solution. Furthermore, web 2.0 is a tool to upgrade my knowledge via reading hotline news, feature stories, reaching, youth networking building, expressing about myself and voice. Moreover, it makes me feel more confident and responsible to what I post in blog or pulse magazine. It also amplifies me to have leadership, braveness and creativeness.
