WAKE UP CALL!

story
I received an email from Terry Mullins of World Pulse this morning. She was asking me whether or not I will continue my status as a Community Listener and that I should reply by November 30. I immediately replied a big YES.
I do visit the Community Contributions page of WP. I select the blogs which appeal to me BUT have no responses. I thought that doing so will encourage the authors to continue writing no matter how short or long their messages are.
As I read the contributions, I am taught the virtues of humility, patience and tolerance. I have realized that many contributors are excellent writers! They use terms and expressions which are new to me. Relatively, my writing skill is at the foot of the mountain while theirs is at the apex. I am humbled but not dejected. I still consider myself blessed because I can learn from them.
In cases where the articles are VERRRYY LONG, I am taught to be patient. I would nudge myself and think that the writers have spent hours drafting and rewriting their articles. The least I could do was to finish reading the material and respond kindly but sincerely.
I am also learning to be open and tolerant to messages which are nearly incomprehensible. Translators have tried to relay messages in English but even their attempt is not easy to understand. There are a zillion reasons for not being able to articulate one's message and I just have to be sympathetic. I myself, am not a perfect writer (I commit grammatical and typo errors at times.)
There are many great things I derive from contributing and listening to others but I have decelerated. Many concerns have cut in and prevented me from supporting World Pulse's mission consistently. I am just glad that Ms. Mullins emailed me this morning. her email was sort of a wake up call and a prompt to accelerate again. THANK YOU, TERRY!
