VOF Week 3: (Defeating Challenges of Blogging)
Jan 21, 2015
story
Blog is a place where we can put our original view through a web site, encourage and support each other by commenting and making the world a global community. It is also a best way to find solutions by asking questions to our readers. I have a blog in word press named Changing Hands (http://auwstudentsactivities.wordpress.com/ ). I was so excited to write in the blog and I joined it but it was challenging for me to continue then I stopped writing on it.
One of the greatest challenge, I faced as a blogger is finding my readers. I spent most of my free time in our university’s computer lab and go to bed late night after finishing my study. I used to post my poem but didn’t find my readers. It was really frustrating because I didn’t get any feedback. I thought my hardworking was a waste of time. There was not a single person to hear and encourage me. I didn’t find any reason to maintain blogging.
Blogging requires a lot of time which was very difficult to continue. It had been 3 months; I have not updated my blogs. Being a scholarship student in AUW, time is precious to me because I need to focus in my study. I was in dilemma to stop my blogging because I didn’t get support from my readers. In addition, everyone can comment in Word Press blogs. Finally, I got two negative feedbacks which also discouraged me to stop blogging.
I found my readers after joining world pulse. I started blogging and commenting in other blogs. After I started commenting in other blogs, I found my readers. They encourage and support me but now it’s very difficult to separate time to my blog. Currently, in our University, we have three hours computer slot timing per student from 3pm to 11pm. In that short time, I need to do my University assignment, update my blogs, write journals and support each other by commenting.
I set up a solution to defeat the present challenges of blogging. I started to set a time schedule for my blog post and university’s assignment. In addition, I spend my snack and tea time in blogging. I outline my journal in a paper so that I do not have to spend much time thinking about my journal in front of computer. I found outline as a best way to save time. Furthermore, I didn’t get negative feedback from my readers. World pulse provide compulsory user login to comment on our blogs which has less chance to get negative feedback.
In the future, as the number of my reader increases, I would have to face more challenge to commit my time in blogging. I will be prepared for that, and never give up my blogging. After a long time, I have succeeded, and will keep trying. I will search an alternative way to utilize my free time. My readers’ motivation will never let me give up my work.
