first-story
Blogging is a personal online journal that is frequently updated and maintained for people to share information across many networks and sites.
It enables global community of people to speak to one another on the things that concerns them in their daily lives.
I have learned that through blogs I can tell the world my own story right from my remote village in Pokot in northern Kenya at the click of the mouse.
I have greatly benefited from the blogs basics that I learned in this unit. I have appreciated the fact that blogging is a powerful online tool that enables people to chat online and learn a lot of things to help shape this world.
Through blogging, one can post information on the net and get feedback in form of comments. Although blogging has a challenge in terms of the security of the information posted on it, I think it has really increased the level to which people from all walks of life share information across the globe.
Blogging also does not require one to have technical skills in order to design it; one just needs just some basic information on the Internet. This aspect of blogging makes it possible for many people to use this tool to learn as wells a\\s research much information on the global online village.
The information on the bloggs can also be accessed by many people on the cyberspace through the search engines like google and yahoo available in the Internet. #
Ideally, I believe that I’m getting somewhere in terms of learning the tools to make me a powerful force in the online community not only as a woman but a strong voice of the voiceless. I believe now that I can use this blogging to speak out on the rights of the women in the society. Blogging will make me to raise issues and concerns that affect our society and the women in particular.
I have to thank the world pulse and the voices of our future applicants for giving me an opportunity to learn blogging in this assignment so that I can use it to tell the world the voices of women in northern Kenya.
Lastly I believe that giving women in particular the opportunity like this to learn such important online tools is a step ahead and anew beginning to the voices of the women to be heard globally.
I’m proud to have been associated with these global online voices in a bid to make women voices to be heard louder.
