Through my organization - Avani's direct aid work with COVID-19 hit communities, we are securing daily meals to migrant laborers, farmers and waste pickers. In addition, we are providing monthly food relief kits to sex workers and transgender persons in these affected communities. For the homeless women, we are working to secure shelter homes to care for and prevent the spread of virus. We are training women to make masks at home as livelihood scheme, so they are not affected by loss of income due to the lockdown.
