Training Women on Community Policing and Atrocities Prevention, in North Central Nigeria

Women & Girl-Child Rescue & Development Initiative organized a consultative training program under the Conflict Stability and Security Fund with funding support from Women for Women International. The training was aimed at establishing Women Peace Architecture Programs and charting a course for women's meaningful involvement in community policing, atrocities prevention, and strategic advocacy for peacebuilding in Plateau state.

Over fifty women were intentionally selected from Jos South and North to reflect various diversities and ensure inclusivity. The program was designed to facilitate learning, sharing, and engagement on meaningful participation, mobilization, involvement, and decision-making.

The Women & Girl-Child Rescue & Development Initiative team brought together top experts in the field and did an excellent job of organizing the three-day training program. Kudos to the Women for Women International team for their unwavering support. Our able Team Lead was at the heart of the training with Dr. Yakubu and Hajiya Lantana top notch trainers in the field.
