Computers are indispensable tools to teenagers. They need computer skills in order to become competitive in their careers. They also want to be updated with new information as well as to make new friends. There is also need for them to gain new insights and abilities on the complexities of life. With computer skills, adolescent girls are better prepared when they graduate and start pursuing their careers.

To this effect, Organization for Women's Empowerment and Development, OWED had to organize a training on basic computer skills for adolescent girls.

The training included identifying major computer components and mechanisms such as the monitor, the CPU, the keyboard and the mouse. They were further drilled on how computer systems work and starting the computer and logging in.
