Time to put our hands together...

I am writing this journal as it was a shocking news to me when I came to know about that.
Today in our class we read about the pathetic codition of women in Nepal. When I was going over the article, my heart was thinking when I am going to write about it in World Pulse.

In Nepal, when women are having periods they are not allow to stay with all other family members. Moreover, they are not allow to cook or touch anything except what she needs. At that time they are confined in an unhygenic room. Sometimes they are bound to stay in a cow house or in an isolated place.

This problem is becoming severe day by day and people have started doing this with new born babies. Till 11 days of new born baby, Nepali people do not touch them and they keep them in a dark room. Only mothers are allowed to touch them. This time home members don't give mother proper nutritious food. There believe is if they give mother rich food, it will affect her health and she will be infected by diseases. Their foolish thoughts are great threats for this poor women.

When I was going through the article, I feel that, how it is possible like a country in Nepal. It was tough for me to believe it as a truth.

I have hard about this problem in several countries, but it was out of my knowledge that it is so severe.

Don't you think we should raise our voice in order to stop this curse upon women. When some concern women in the World Pulse Team are writing to empower women, how this things can be allowed to continue.
