THERAPEUTIC ART - THE DAY AFTER...

LOOK TOWARDS THE DAY AFTER...

Warm greetings to everyone in the "house".

Today, I would like to share with you a  self-care tip: LOOK TOWARDS THE DAY AFTER...

Whether you're about to face a trial or a deadline or maybe you are advancing towards an accomplishment and a breakthrough -  lean towards the day after the "event".  Often, we become so anxious and overwhelmed and we unintentionally inject all sorts of unwanted emotions into our systems. This happened to me ALL the time until one day, I began to pray, work, think, smile, meditate AND CREATE towards the day after.  I visualized that day (in my head) and I FELT my unlimited joy. And in the case of the extreme opposite, if I were expecting something really horrific to happen, I would "take" myself to the day after and hear myself say, "it wasn't that bad, I made it"! The significance of this method is to remind us that we are overcomers, coming against every force while pushing through the crowds of stress, uncertainty, traumas, etc...  By applying this self-care strategy, I can truly say that I have been experiencing better results and so I have been hinting this strategy to the women I serve in my Self-Care through Art mini workshops.

Here's a little art project for you to do:

You will need either a pen OR pencil and a piece of paper. You might feel inspired to use paint and a paint brush instead.

Sketch a simple indication/illustration of an open window. Create your own "THE DAY AFTER".

Imagine yourself looking out into the beautiful view of the day after your event. The open window is an open invitation for your thoughts to lean into the next day. The view on the outside can be anything you want it to be - a seascape, a landscape or just a blue sky with sunlight. Or maybe you would like to fill your sky/view with positive words and/or your favorite phrases. Or how about a rainbow! You could even do this project in your journal. Keep your finished art piece at a reachable point so that you are reminded on the days you need it most, to look towards the day after. Let's create happy memories together!

Do it for you. Say yes to you.  (would be cool if we could share our creations though)

Much love to you all...
