One of the other ways I plan on raising funds for my initative is by creating a space selling , thrifted used clothing items and collecting and upcycling denim jeans.This also is another aspect of sustainable fashion.
These jeans will be deconstructed ,washed and used to recreate ,other clothing items , hand bags , make up bags ,and jewellery
In my country there is a surge in interest in thrifted garments especially after the pandemic , now that food and gasoline prices have risen and our purchasing power is reduced
There are also opportunities for marketing through a government funded organisation ECCL , which last christmas collaborated with She Trades an arm of ITC,International Trade Commission and afforded my participation as one of 100 female entrepenurs to benefit from a craft market . We were provided with furnished booths, music and the neccessities ,while a heavy marketing campaign ensured the success of the pre christmas event
I am hoping to get fully into this project by Januarary 31st , the start up is very low as the jeans and used garments will be sourced from kind donations .
In my country we are entering the busy carnival season and Im hoping to be ready for market once the opportunites become available
I would not mind patnering with anyone for a collaboration as the bags can be logoed or customized for companies or individuals
