Their dogs are eating their own intestines

On October 1st 2009, Nigeria will be forty-nine years, between 1960 and 1999, Nigeria leaders has stolen four hundred and forty billion dollars. Nigeria is a home to one hundred and forty million people, and to us it is a regional power in a West Africa that has about two hundred and twenty million inhabitants

In Nigeria today, every elected officer has an intention, to steal therefore we all wait for our turn to steal and be corrupt. Good Nigerian disappoints their family members when they decide to wash their hands clean from corruption. My time to be corrupt is at hand keeps Nigerians alive. That is why we all keep quiet waiting for our time.

Nigeria has witnessed a civil war that the aftermath is still felt till today. because the region ready for segregation refused to down tool still, they are hall bent on dividing Nigeria because we are always enthroning deceitful leaders who are selfish with the hatred of the people in mind.

Nigeria has survived seven military leaders who are autocratic, one of them a wicked man that we all thought was a direct descent of the devil. Nigerians has tried unsuccessfully to elect a democratically approved leader, all because of corruption, my mother said that devil do not throw a stone at me, but devil retorted allow me to throw the last one in my hand.

This one in our hand is a torment, always silent that we thought he would be all we want not knowing that he had no ideas not that the silence will never produce any gold for all. Corruption is the bane everyone shouts but mismanagement and corruption walks hand in hand, injustice and abuse of office are the endemics that are the cankerworms Nigerians are battling with.

Sani Abacha, the worst military leader that ruled Nigeria stole six billion dollars and it was invested in the western world. That was the genesis of Economic Crime Commission of Nigeria in 2003, but it became a farce when it got to the turn of th eleader that initiated the idea. Not knowing taht he was waiting fot an oppotune time to steal his own too, to build a private university that will need no entrance examination as long as you have the money, the poor has no part in that University. This was a man who continually ridiculed lecturers durinh his tenure.

The commission was just to divert our thought from the ruling president who was operating underground while Nigerians were fighting Dariye Joshua former Governor of Plateau state who operated 25 banks in UK, also Alamieyeseigha a former governor of oil rich Balyesa state who had over 240 million dollars in Nigeria, 1million pounds was found in his hotel apartment in UK, in addition to bank accounts traced to Cyprus, Denmark, Bahamas, USA, this was from Bayelsa, this is the oil rich state where militants are continually fighting now, the rest is history, no one is above the law except leaders in Nigeria.

These are just some examples in a country where there has been no light in my house for the past three weeks not even one minute light, this corruption is the reason why I am hungry today, why more than 100million Nigerian are ready to explode at any time, why we all say let us die, death is the end of all things, we do not have anything to live for.

In Nigeria today, the minimum wage for a civil servant is 7, 500 naira only which is about 44 US Dollars per month, while the annual salary of a lawmaker is 10 million naira and the president monthly salary is about 3.4 million naira. Daily our pensioners die on queue while waiting for pension that is fixed in an official’s account, they continually steal so as to avoid death on queue, but only God can determine the deathbed of everyone.

Nigeria is a land of opportunity but under bandage of fraudsters, the world must not judge by the smiles on the face of our leaders, if we are all under the law, how come that the EFCC who has tried all former and present leader was fought to stand still when in 2007, the Obasanjo regime was to step aside while he imposed his dead friends next of kin on Nigeria in 2007 just to avoid being probed.

These dogs will eat their own intestines but USA, UK all world powers must know that if they refuse stand with Nigerian activists who are ready to sacrifice their lives to say enough of corrupt leaders, election malpractices and the injustice then we shall continue to be the giant burden of the world not the giant of Africa.

The world must desist from collaborating with our leaders in Nigeria’s stealing money; Halliburton bribed Nigerian officials with 185million dollar bribe to build liquefied natural gas plant, the more they bribe the more they are exposed because when dogs eat intestines, it eats its own too.

Many of our leaders will be stoned to death if they dare walk on our streets. They steal, we see. Thanks for the opportunity to say what we see.
