The World Pulse 50: What Storytelling means to me

I'm one of the World Pulse 50 — Storyteller

Story telling is an important part of our culture in Africa as it is used often to inform us of what has happened in the past and is happening and especially draw moral lessons. Joining world pulse has greatly equipped me to be able to tell my own story. This is a dream come true for me! !!

Story telling on World Pulse has greatly improved my ability to socialize. Through my stories I have connected with thousands of women across the World. It’s always a joy to get feedback on how much they have been impacted. Above all I have developed a deep connection with My best friend JILL which is the best thing that has happened to me.

In addition, telling my story has been an important part of the healing process from all the challenges I have been going through. Am so thankful to these amazing women who have patiently watched me weep while telling my story and also written encouraging comments on my post on World Pulse. Today these same women can watch me smile broadly, while telling those same stories. I feel heard, seen and loved. That’s how powerful story telling can be.

As a matter of fact, storytelling on World Pulse has brought me so much visibility which I will always be thankful and above all measure impact through my impact dash board which I consider a very big gift t me especially as its motivates and inspires me to do more. Additionally, Story telling is always a great learning experience. So much lessons learnt through story tell that has given more value to my work. Prove being the many awards and recognitions I have had recently including this one.

Above all story telling has greatly enhanced my self esteem and improve on my self-confidence. The lovely feeling of doing a good job and wanting to post more stories cannot me under looked.
