The World Pulse 50: What Storytelling Means to Me

I'm one of the World Pulse 50 — Grand Prize Storyteller

Since time immemorial, women’s voices rose in story, poetry, and song.

We sing to commemorate, inspire, and protect. Our stories are the elixirs through which we heal and grow. Our voices comfort ourselves and those who hold space for them.

We teach wisdom through stories of courage, hope and strength. Like powerful weapons and shields, storytelling offers solace. Through stories, we connect with our ancestors and weave breathtaking tapestries for future generations.

My stories tell of my losses and gains, my hopes, and desires. The fountain of ink from which I draw my pen is deep as my soul and rich as the valley that I am. Sharing my stories on World Pulse is a gifting I offer my inner scribe, and beloved readers.

I am deeply honoured and privileged to raise my voice and share my stories in this mighty, beautiful community of sisters who change lives.
