What Being a World Pulse Ambassador and Providing Digital Training Means to Me

As a digital empowerment trainer, I have seen firsthand the importance of acquiring digital skills and the critical role that digital technologies play - from women in the market, to girls in schools, to artisans, to girls not in school, to women collaborating on projects, to women speaking up and becoming change agents and to getting access to opportunities and resources especially online. Acquiring digital skills can help change the way one interacts with other people both online and offline, networks and access opportunities and resources.

World Pulse as a global vibrant community has been one of the best social network platforms through which I have connected with amazing women and organizations around the world including receiving amazing support to carry out my digital empowerment skills training for women and girls in my local community. Being a World Pulse Ambassador has made me more confident in my ability that I can be a great change agent and help more women and girls leverage on technology and international networks to improve their skills and acquire new skills. It has further 'opened my eyes' to see that women can help uplift other women regardless of their country, background, religion or social economic status.

From different countries - USA to Nigeria to Canada to Kenya to Cameroun to Uganda to Spain to Germany, I have met incredible women doing good things; spreading positivity, encouraging collaborations, celebrating the power of sisterhood and cheering me on, to never give up and to know that I am not alone in my struggles and challenges.

There is a great relationship built when women from different countries, communities and cultural backgrounds support, inspire, mentor and encourage each other.
