The World Pulse 50: What Digital Empowerment means to me

I'm one of the World Pulse 50 — Digital Empowerment

I am honoured and humbled to be featured as one of 15 top leaders of Digital Empowerment Trainers by World Pulse. World Pulse believes in the collective power of women’s voices. I strongly believe in women owning their voice.

I am passionate about helping and encouraging women to have power over their lives and tell their stories. Despite the advancement in women empowerment over the years, women still cannot own their voice in many countries and cultures. Nobody could tell your story better than you.

That is the very purpose we found femasia Magazine as an alternative to the narrow, stereotypical gender-biased stories about women.

New technologies from social media to artificial intelligence - We are witnessing a massive Digital revolution today. But, sadly, compared to men, around 250 million fewer women are online. And the divide is growing, not shrinking. That is why providing women access to the digital world and empowering them with digital training becomes essential.

‘digital Empowerment’ will give women their voices and equip them with the necessary tools and technology to navigate the digital world safely. It will make

women heard and advocate for the causes they believe in. It will also enable them to gather information, learn new knowledge and work from wherever they are.

Digital technologies present opportunities to people who might otherwise not access them, such as people with physical disabilities or people who live in a remote geographical territory.

Through World pulse, femasia and Center for Creative Learning UK, I touch the lives of many spirited women every day. I am privileged to get this chance to share our stories, empower and uplift each other and continuously learn and unlearn.

I believe in listening to the voice within us, which calls on our soul and let us do whatever it tells us. We need to train and educate more women and more communities to bridge the gaps in digital literacy and accessibility. The journey never ends, and every tiny step counts.
