The World Pulse 50: What being a Changemaker means to me

I’m one of the World Pulse 50 – Changemaker

Change is the only constant in life and it can be negative or positive. One of the most important gifts we have is life and positive change allows us to work towards creating a better life for ourselves and generations to come.

To me, change-making is a practice and a lifelong journey. It means the power to shape the future and transform the world for the good of all. It is building new solutions to the challenges we face from education, environmental sustainability to social justice and any field I can dream of. It’s about imagining new realities, taking action and collaborating with others to bring that new reality into being for the good of others. It is about opening platforms to have discussions that open people’s minds and perspectives despite being experts or amateurs.

The emotional state of the mind is the center of all change…being able to break cycles of the past to accessing the current with balance so that we can formulate new ways as going forward is paramount. Change happens every day and it is for everyone, no matter your age, as long as you are intentional about solving a social problem, motivated to act and creative.
