The World Pulse 50: What being a Changemaker means to me

I’m one of the World Pulse 50 – Changemaker

We can all make a change. And the most powerful changes come when those who are expected to be silent, speak up and tell their story. When those who are expected to stay still, show the way forward.

I am very grateful for World Pulse, the community that has been created and the support and encouragements I and others receive here, including this honour.

I strive to make change, where I can, but I am always unsure if the seeds I try to plant will grow. If me speaking out will inspire others to create a policy change, to change how we meet others, how we do things, how we design our physical or virtual surroundings.

Or if my action will inspire a woman, maybe a woman with a disability, like myself, to speak up, to try and plant her own seeds of change, that would be even better.

We can all make a change, but the greatest changes are achieved, when we are many. Many voices sharing the same story and many moving as part of the same push forward. Together we can create a world, where everyone are given the chance to thrive and become a part of society.
