The World Pulse 50: What being a Changemaker means to me

I’m one of the World Pulse 50 – Changemaker

What does changemaking mean to me?

I have a vision of a world where all women can thrive, in the new world of work, and beyond.

For this to be a reality, we need to move to a human and heart-centred, rather than compliance-centred approach to issues of gender-equality, sexual harassment, and gender-based violence.

We urgently need leaders with the relational skills to speak with empathy, respect, care, and compassion.

I am called to build these enabling spaces and environments within organizations, workplaces, and with changemakers and leaders themselves.

It is only through real empowerment, ownership, working from the inside out, and connecting with our hearts, heads, and our hands, that we will build back better.

So, what does changemaking mean to me?

It means actively participating in creating that better world that I envision for women.

It means I take steps every day to work towards and embody that vision.

It means that I share my voice, expertise, and lived experience to serve this higher vision.

What is change-making? It Is my calling.
