The World Pulse 50: What being a Changemaker means to me

I'm one of the World Pulse 50 — Grand Prize Changemaker

Bringing about change appears seemingly easy when you have a vision and a goal plan. The problem arises only when you are faced with acute resistance from the community, the government. Sometimes there's resistance from your family when you are changing the routine of things and you have to delegate responsibilities so that you can implement your goal plan finally . ..

Only then you actually realize that it is no degree in social work or your professional qualifications that can solve the problem. Understanding their thought process matters. Else you risk becoming an activist that is harming them than bringing about change.

It is your undying tenacity, your never-stop spirit that pushes you forward then. .. And hope .

I also had access to a bunch of grassroots World Pulse leaders who guide me on the courses I need to do, the available funding opportunities. All to equip myself better.

If nothing else, reading the stories on World Pulse guides me on how to solve problems and I am grateful to every one of my sisters present here for motivating me to be here.

It would really not have been possible without the Thriving Thursday Classes that are always an upgrade to our learnings . .

So thank you, World Pulse, for building me suitable enough to be worthy of this award.

I can only promise, I will not let you down and you are helping me change more girls than I ever envisioned. This is how change pulses through the world.
