I’ve decided to tell a story.

Not a story about the lawyer I became.

A story about the girl who existed before her.

For years, I’ve carried pieces of my life in memories, conversations, notebooks and unfinished stories. I’ve decided to finally put them together.

The Woman Behind the Brief is a personal series about becoming—the childhood that shaped me, the girl who learned to tell stories, the young woman who found law, and the advocate I am still becoming.
