The Untold Story of how I spent August..

Greetings Everyone!

 I was privileged to be selected to take part in the Roundtable Workshop as a Representative of the Women Inspiration Development Centre - Confident Girls Ambassador on Sexual and Gender based Violence Tagged 'Building Solidarity for Gender Justice' by the Faculty of Law, in support of "Women Advocates Research Documentation Centre"(WARDC) held in Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State  in Nigeria on the 4th of August.

We discussed a lot of topics in relation to SGBV ranging from the Causes, consequences, societal/religious/traditional views, Child Molestation, disability justice, domestic violence, rape and all sort of social vices.

Here are my key take home and I thought to share them with you;

✅ More Enlightenment to the public irrespective of whether or not they are formally educated.

✅ Traditional Rulers interference; it is no news that "Our Law enforcement agency" aren't on their toes as supposed hence, the need for more of the involvement of our Traditional rulers as they are closer to the victims than the supposed law enforcement agency...

✅ Parents involvement; The likes of sex education should be first communicated by parents, to avoid unhealthy curiosity from Children which can later result to them sourcing from other places... Also, empowering their children to be of economic value before marriage.

✅ Sensitize the public about Prohibition Laws and creation of a system of advantage for people living with disabilities.

✅ Using Technology, social media as a living changing tool.

Thank you so much for reading through.
