The story of Bilkilife

A photo of me at the social enterprises for economic development and social inclusion, a event in which our startup held a presentation explaining our idea.

Dear reader,

In this post I would like to share our story - the story of Bilkilife. The startup ran by 3 women (including me!😄)

Marija Georgievska - Executive Manager

                                      master of entrepreneurship

                                       media specialist

Verche Georgievska - Operational manager

student at the Faculty of Economics in Vienna

                                       a participant in SIA

And me - Mila Georgievska - volunteer

dealing with development of herbal tourism for people with disabilities, by providing them a tour in Brodec (Skopje, Skopska Crna Gora, North Macedonia) which has never been done before in our country. "Bilklife" Herbal House will work on the development of herbalism, which means the use of medicinal plants and forest fruits with their medicinal properties, to improve people's health and life. It was the love for herbs, from the youth,  who knew well the medicinal herbs and their use, for treatment and improvement of the health condition, that was an incentive to continue the tradition of transferring knowledge and further using the usefulness of the herbs now, after we have created an opportunity to stay in a house in the mountains, at about 1000 meters where the herbs are scattered everywhere.

With our work, we will enable the integration of people with disabilities in tourism, achieving inclusiveness, through the opportunity to find a tourist offer for them, to work on the inclusion of these people in the labor market by including them in the work process with us, to raise the awareness of the situation in tourism, where this category of citizens are prevented from using tourist services due to inaccessibility and stigmatization, as well as to influence the improvement of their quality of life, to be worthy citizens.

"Bilklife" will contribute to the development of herbal tourism, rural and sustainable development, increasing the number of tourists - persons with disabilities, care for the environment, encouragement of social responsibility, development of circular economy and social entrepreneurship. "Bilklife" will socialize , rehabilitate, relax, employ, take care of the environment, collect and select plant waste, produce.
