It was with such a great awe and mix up with joy that I am writing you this my story. A story to look up to in generation to come. Since I was born and with this my current age in my late 30ties, would you believe me if I tell you it was my first time ever organizing and conducting a successful zoom trainathon ever?
Yes it was. I could not believe my long awaited passion to become an online trainer, coach and a mentor of the youth especially my teen Mother's just started few years ago with only a click of a button to become a member of world pulse.
I am Lisbeth A Salifu , a woman and a person with disability. I am from Ghana, one of the sub Sahara country with borders both and far to Burkina Faso, Togo, Nigeria, etc.
Growing up from the northern part of Ghana and with a person with disability my mother was advice not to send me to the regular education system of schooling as we do now with our young children. He reason been that it will not be helpful for me any way.
My mother told me the one who gave her such advice was a very close relative member, well educated as at the time and it took her by surprised she was the one given such an advice.
I am giving you his little background of myself to let you know how far I have come in life. It was not easy even at the early stage, people and opposition did all the could to stop me from becoming who I am today and yet to be. It was always a battle to fight.
However, I don't want to bore your day and only focus on the odd. I choose to trampled over obstacles and here I am today. When I became a world pulse member years back all was about myself so to put it but as I sign in day in day out, read stories of members, I came to realize people need encouragement and comfort.
I therefore took the initiative to join the encouragement team, such with a sentence I brought many smiles to people faces. You never know what someone might be going through writing such stories. Sometime, I wish I could be there physically by their side to give them a tap shoulder but distance could not allowed me and the only way I do this was through my comforting comment.
As I engaged myself in these acts I began to like what I am doing and if a week passby and I didn't log on to world pulse I feel like been sick. So I begin to realize the power of encouragement. As you encourage other you also get comforted. Amazing!
Later I join the digital ambassadors position and today this is where I am. I am very proud to announce to the entire community of world pulse that I conducted my first ever successful zoom cloud meeting on safety and security online as part of my international women's day activities for all women in Ghana.
It was a global activity and for that matter I got others joining from the globe. To Kat Haber and Eva who took time off their heavy scheduled to join I really appreciate it.
Please I have below the link for those who missed this very but important occasion.
In world pulse you log on and rise, and I have rising through this wonderful and amazing platform.
