The Issue of Illegal dump site in South Africa

Illegal dump sites are not only causing land pollution, but the waste also ends up in our rivers and long into our oceans where it ends up killing a large number of animal species (i.e. fish) in the ocean. Increasing the plastic pollution that we are experiencing throughout the country. How can we really stop plastic pollution and illegal dump sites? We have tried with my organization through community initiatives where we were turning illegal dump sites into vegetable gardens, how cool is that? Yes, it was working, but need lots of stakeholder engagement.
